Electrical Audio is a two-studio complex located in Chicago, Illinois and owned by Steve Albini.

You can take a closer look at the studios.

We are also in the process of putting all of our equipment up for you to look at and read about.

If you want to read about the people that work here or people who worked here in the past, you can do that over in the Staff & Friends section.

If you are interested in recording here and want to know how much it might cost you or your band, you can find that out over in the Booking & Rates section.

Take a look at our forums for discussions about recording, microphones, drum tuning and all sorts of other things.

And finally, if you need to contact us or you need directions to the studio, you can find that information here.

The MXR Delay System II

Crude but easy-to-use digital delay from the bucket-brigade era. The nicest thing about it is the numerical display of delay time, which tracks even when the delay is modulating. Maximum delay time is 3344 ms (at 4kHz bandwidth). Maximum delay with 16kHz bandwidth is 808 ms. Metering is very crude, but there is a compander which prevents most overloads.
