So, here's the scoop as of right now...

We have decided to have an all PRF rock fest/BBQ spectacular this summer.
Bands, delicious food, booze, friends, fun, etc...
A chance for a lot of PRF bands and people to come together all at the same time and place and party down. Get loose. Freaky. Get themselves pregnant. That sort of thing.

It has been decided it will take place June 5th, 6th and 7th at the official DIY PRF venue, The fabulous Union Rock Yards in Sunny and violently diverse Humbolt Park, Chicago, Illinois.
Every band that is playing will have at least one member that posts on this here board.

kayte has proposed leading a kickball game either Saturday or Sunday morning in the park across from the URY.

We have had a few members ask to screen films they have made and also exhibit artwork they've produced. We hope to have lots of non musical stuff going on.

We need for all of the people that are looking to participate with something non-musical to email unionrockyards (AT) gmail (DOT) com and let me know what you would like to do(comedy, film, display artwork, etc...). Please send the email with the title "Fuck Music".

Forum member Gantry has offered his services as far as rides to and from airports if needed.

Various formum members have offered up their floors and couches, so hotel rooms should not be needed except for the most prissy among us.
If you are in need of such things please let it be known and we'll work out the issue.

I don't think we'll have any problems filling up a day with bands and music.
The other details are what's to be hashed out. There's food, food preperation, beverages, scheduling, finding places for people to stay who need them, etc...
If we set up little groups of people working on each aspect we'll shoot right through this, have it up on wheels in no time.

First and foremost we need a date and place.

Like I said, first things first.

We need an exact date and place. I am to understand the wheels are in motion in regards to the Union Rock Yards being the spot. Once we have come to an agreement on when it's going down, we'll figure out who will be able to be in town to play.

It'd be awesome to have other things people here do being celebrated and shown besides music.
Films, photos, art, comedy, theatre, etc...all that. We could easily make this into the coolest shit ever.

i would be in to figuring out how to play some of my stuff live - having a very talented band (there's absolutely no way i'm going to refer to the infrasonics as 'backup' - sheesh!) would make it a lot simpler....
