In short: this won't work.

It will work only if the people looking at the pictures are logged into Facebook while viewing the thread, and possibly (depending on album preferences), are either friends with the person who uploaded the photos or friends with someone tagged in the photos. Maybe there's some setting somewhere you can adjust to allow anyone to see the photos, but Facebook resamples uploaded images and makes them look like stills from a "they're not mistreating us" hostage video.

While I can't comment on the resampling of the images, Facebook does now allow you to share your pictures with the outside world using a URL that is only provided to the owner of the pictures at the bottom of that photo's page. It works just like Flickr, etc. and no one needs to be logged into Facebok to see them.

This is a recent change for FB as far as I can tell.

I have some pretty great photos of steve in a wet suit while we were on vacation in hawaii, but i cannot figure out how to put them up on this site. I can't do it from my fb page, right? Any ideas?

You can do it from Facebook.
Right click on the picture, copy the url of the picture in the "properties" section and paste it between the [img] "things".

People who can't access Facebook (from work e.g) won't see the pictures. The others will.

Oh shit, really? I've been pasting pictures from Facebook for quite some time. I can the direct URL of the picture to Internet Explorer (which I never use) and it works fine and I'm certain IE doesn't have my FB login... but FB can recognize IP.. oh damn I'm too hungover. Heather pictures are aces.

so i was with steve when he was on the phone, learning that he would be given the opportunity to take part in that scuba/bubble thinger machine and his first reaction was "can i get pip in there? just like...sitting on my head, enjoying the view??"

he seemed genuinely upset that pip would not be able to make the trip.

those photos make me happy.
