Nirvana collection: Outcesticide

Postby cervixFORaHEart on Sat Dec 30, 2006 6:59 pm

My media player has leaped onto this "Outcesticide" album tonight. I have not listened to Nirvana voluntarily in a long time.

I'm kind of wondering how anyone thinks this music is crap?

I mean...I understand the concept of hating Nirvana. But, uh...these songs are pretty fucking awesome.

Pretend for a moment that Kurt Cobain was never born. Imagine a buddy of yours giving you this album some Thursday night at the bar and asking you if you want to be in his band.

"Uh...Is that really you singing? I have beer and pot. Be at my house tomorrow night."

Not Crap.

Come on, guys...."Junkyard"....I would love to drink about thirteen Natural Lights, smoke a joint and fucking melt faces while playing/screaming this song.

I never have, but it sounds nice.

A lot of Nirvana's songs were fucking amazing.

That's one of the biggest reasons I hate them.

Kurt had the ability to sound like his entire body was made out of cancer. Some of their earlier stuff makes me want to peel my skin off in a misanthropic rage (and that's a good thing, I guess).

They went in a really shitty direction. I think they could have easily ended up being my favorite band of all time, but alas, they stand as one of my least favorite bands of all time.
Life is like a box of chocolates.

i never hated them, just always had things that were better suited for the mood i was in.

for example, if i ever wanted to listen to something like "bleach", i realise i would much rather listen to "gluey porch treatments" and then im far more satisfied anyway.

they do have a handful of good songs though.

never heard too much of outcesticide.
