Yet more fine songs created this week. I like Release Your Magic Flower Hat, but I like King Of All The Shit the most.

These are my top three.

walruses like funny hats - great production, very enjoyable
king for a day - your vocals are outstanding, seriously you have an incredible voice.
sorcerer's apprentice - I like the overall vibe that this captured, I think for me it really was a great interpretation of the painting.

My vote goes for sorcerer's apprentice

Show Us That Smile Again has a cool melody and, vocally and lyrically, a lysergic melancholy that I find appealing.

release your magic flower hat - all sorts of sigur ros like goodness.

see the monsters rising - was this the b side to monster mash?

inhalant abuse - nice pads, great song structure.

crown - spooky stuff, the voice effect is great.

show us that smile - nice performance and production.

split - organs are fun!

manflu presents singing of weird sheep guy - that's what the weird sheep guy sounds like!

king of all the shit - punk winner of the week.

p'acid - quite trippy, sometimes i hear voices like those in my head.

sorcerer's apprentice - great drudgery, like a Chicago funeral march.

krsna coma - ministry's got nothing on you.

decoy - wow, great production and song, you got the contest perfect. you win my vote.

king for a day - great voice, lyrics, production, everything! my runner up.

Well, ladies and gents, I'm dazzled. Seriously, it was a quality week for the song-writing challenge.

My personal favorites were:
Release your Magic Hat (complete package of total awesomeness)

See the Monsters Rising (so much fun, very playful and great melody - this is going on my Halloween mixes from now on)

Crown (perfectly answered the challenge, wonderful & funny)

Decoy (the drums are great and hell, it's just rockin')

It was hard to decide, but, my vote goes to:
Release Your Magic Flower Hat

I really like 'King for a Day' (I'm a sucker for this sort of thing) which has miniature cows in it and that seems an important step forward for the competition, really nice voice as well whoever this is. I admit to never knowing who has done anything, but I like it that way.
I also really enjoyed 'see the monsters rising', it has a little bit of the craziness.
Let's go with 'see the monsters rising' shall we?

decoy hilarious, and amazing effect on the vocals. I'm guessing moog ring mod. Am I close? Weird, funny, and groovy. Triple-threat.

This week it's king of all the shit

Try and be back later with some thoughts. Oh guess I should say why!

Fantastic guitar, vocals are amazing. As someone else said above, a great punk song.

Walruses Like Funny Hats

(It was close between this and King For A Day - so great!)

Another high quality week. Well done, all!
