We Make Shirts About Fucking!

How Crass of us, huh? Oh wait, we already did that... Anyway, we manage to make things difficult for ourselves every season. Last year it was the Beastee, and this time it's this! We're a printer's worst nightmare, and your vulgar dream come true. We've heard your whispers and gotten the emails. Some of you have probably even seen Greg about town, proudly showing our affinity for...well...fucking. Since so many of you have asked, we've decided to lift the curtain on this gem a little earlier than the rest of our The Kids are Alright Spring '06 line. Why? Well, because this badboy is such a pain in the ass to produce, we wanted to make sure those who wanted it had a chance to get it, because it's going to be gone quick...trust us.

So we proudly present our He's a Whore T-shirt which will be available in Charcoal (click the image to enlarge) and Lime Green. It's a discharge all-over print, with a front and back plastisol print on top of that! The lime green version's discharge is more subtle and isn't so in your face. The charcoal is for the trully vulgar at heart

We're going to be taking pre-orders on it for one week. So if you're interested, simply Paypal $40 (domestic), $46 (International) to sales@mishkanyc.com with He's a Whore Pre-order in the subject line. Please specify the size and color you'd like and be sure to include your address. You can expect to receive the shirt between April 15th and 30th.

P.S. +10 scene points if you know what the inspiration behind the shirt is.

Are scene points different than "punk rock points"?

(To be clear: I have nothing to do with this terrible shirt idea.)

Cheap Trick Cover

Postby ReubenRemus on Tue Apr 04, 2006 11:16 am

The problem with the shirt is that He's a Whore is Big Black covering Cheap Trick, as someone already stated.

Why didn't they pick an actual Big Black song for the shirt? Hahaha.

I actually used to have a Big Black "He's a Whore" shirt in High School.

I don't remember where I got it from or if it was an officially liscensed product.

I can't remember if it actually said "He's a Whore" on it, but it was a black shirt that had the "He's a Whore" artwork from Big Black's 7" single.....hmmm, I think I still have that single somewhere. Is it out of print?

'He's a whore' isn't even on 'Songs about Fucking' is it?

This is the cover of 'He's a whore':

well, the song is on the CD version.....it actually says that on the picture you posted of "Songs About Fucking"

But, yeah, I thought the shirt being called a He's a Whore T-shirt was odd.....

Haha!

The writing, she was too small that I cannot read her!

She is, how you say... 'bonus track'?

Odd.

Bonus Track

Postby ReubenRemus on Tue Apr 04, 2006 1:04 pm

Correct. The compact disc version proudly proclaims that it "includes 'He's a Whore.'"

Still love the cover of the original 7" though. I own the first Cheap Trick LP and think this spoof was hilarious. Hahaha.

I believe that the 7' of "The Model" is the same as the "He's a Whore" 7"
I am pretty sure that they are A and B sides.

Indeed.

Both sides have a 'spoof' picture relating to the original band.
