The Eaton GFTCB140 is a 1-pole, 40A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) breaker designed for residential and light commercial branch circuit protection. Operating at 120V AC, it safeguards people and equipment by detecting ground faults as low as 5 mA and automatically opening the circuit to reduce the risk of electric shock. It integrates a thermal-magnetic trip unit for both overload and short-circuit protection.
With an interrupting rating of 10kA@120V, the GFTCB140 is built to perform reliably under fault conditions and complies with UL 943 and UL 489 standards. It features a plug-on mounting style and accommodates #14 to #4 AWG conductors, making it suitable for a range of load center and panelboard installations. The breaker includes a test button for easy verification of ground fault functionality.
